Busy Baby

Bennett = busy, mover, smiles, giggles, big brothers target, happy, wiggly, sweet, joy

"I want to see MORE animals!"

This is what we did for Memorial weekend. Lincoln couldn't get to the next animal fast enough. I love the zoo....and my boys!
PS If you tell Lincoln to smile he will open his mouth as wide as possible. He is "smiling" in some of these pictures. His smile makes me smile.

I sure wouldn't mind hearing this once in a while...

"Thank you mommy and daddy for getting up with me last night right as your head was about to hit the pillow. Thank you for taking me into your bed after I begged and cried for 15 minutes. Thank you for letting me kick you in the head and stomach as I slept. Thank you for waking up every hour or two to me talking about Max and Ruby. Thank you for letting me come back into your bed after you tried to put me back into my bed. Thank you for sleeping at the very edge of the bed so I had plenty of room to sprawl out. Finally, thank you for waking up with my baby brother at 6:30 a.m. You guys are the best! We really appreciate it."

hmmm...I'm not going to hold my breath.

"Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to go!"

In Travis' family, if you say or do something dumb, nobody will ever let you forget it. Years ago, Travis' mom was trying to him to go visit his grandparents and out of frustration yelled, "Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to go!" Well, nobody ever forgot and they have been quoting it ever since. On May 8, we participated in The Race for the Cure at the Gateway. We were "Trudee's Tribe" and felt like it was the perfect theme for Trudee's battle with breast cancer.
It was such a cool experience to be a part of such a huge event. It was amazing to see the sea of people filling the roadway. It broke my heart to see how many people have been affected by breast cancer. I think I cried pretty much the entire race! Everyone was running for someone who is a survivor or in memory of someone who lost the battle. I'm glad I got to be a part of such an awesome cause.

Trudee's Tribe

We just learned this week that Travis' mom, Trudee has breast cancer. Trudee is a person who is always serving and supporting everyone around her, rarely taking any time for herself. She is always so positive and finds the silver lining in every situation. I'm grateful to have such a great mother-in-law and grandmother to my boys. We plan on supporting her on May 8 by running the Race for The Cure. Anyone who would like to join our team in running or just donating money to the fight against breast cancer go to www.trudeestribe.blogspot.com. Thanks!!!
